THE MEXICAN FILM PROJECT LA CEBRA OBTAINS THE CHURUBUSCO AWARD

On the IV Ibero-American Co production Meeting, the project La cebra from the Mexican José Fernando León obtained the Churubusco Award, that grants the services of Estudios Churubusco for an amount of 500.000 Mexican pesos and a limit of 1.500.000 Mexican pesos to finish the project.

Within FICG, the main purpose of the Ibero-American Co production Market, is to provide direct contact to work-in-progress films, with international funds and producers interested on co production; this in order to contribute Ibero-American and Mexican film industry development.

Some of the selected projects for the Churubusco Award were: Amor y chocolate (Mexico-Denmark, from Emma Balcázar; Con los pies en el cielo (Chile), from Pablo Mantilla Rayo; La casa (Bolivia), from Carina Oroza Daroca; La sirga (Colombia), from William Vega; Polvo (Guatemala), from Julio Hernández Cordón and Las flores del Pepe (Uruguay), from Ramiro Ozer Ami and Sebastián Mayayo.
