Guadalajara Construye 4 (work-in-progress)

In order to facilitate the completion of Latin-America feature films, which once filmed find difficulties during their post-production stage and later on—while trying to guarantee theatrical release— the Guadalajara International Film Festival promoted since 2007 an Industry initiative now called Guadalajara Construye, where a program consisting of a maximum of 6 productions from Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean region (including Colombia), is proposed to professionals accredited to the Festival—producers, distributors, sales agents, service companies, funds and festivals— with the possibility of supporting the completion of projects and their subsequent exhibition.

This year, Guadalajara Construye 4 will take place on March 16th and 17th and will also include documentary projects. The presentation of the films will be at the hotel Fiesta Americana, where Industry activities are concentrated.

FICG25 is negotiating substantial awards and stimuli for this edition of Guadalajara Construye with the purpose of contributing to the conclusion of one or more of the six selected projects. Several companies, committed to the development of Ibero American cinema, will also display their commitment and support with this cinema and will soon announce additional aid.
